The San Francisco Giants have bragging rights over the San Francisco 49ers after winning the 2016 Chevron Shootout Tuesday at Pebble Beach.
A competition between the two teams was fun to watch for fans because both teams really wanted to win.
“The stakes are big. It’s a lot about pride,” said 49ers team captain and Super Bowl champion Harris Barton.
Most of the players identified Cain as their biggest threat from the beginning, although the pitched acted modest before teeing off.
“No they don’t, I don’t think so. I try to hit it as hard as I can and see where it goes after that,” said Cain.
The Giants ended up taking home the trophy at the end of the day after pitcher Matt Cain chipped in a shot at the 18th hole.
The shootout is getting more heated every year.
