A white box left next to a car near a Seaside apartment complex caused the Monterey County Sheriff’s bomb squad to be called in Friday morning.
Residents were evacuated as a precaution on Fremont Boulevard near Canyon Del Rey Boulevard, and a reverse 911 call was sent out.
At 11 a.m., the bomb squad X-rayed the box and determine that it was harmless.
