No. 2-ranked Jason Day spent a lot of time on the putting green Monday to get ready for the 2016 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Day is going into Pebble Beach after an illness and taking the week off from the 2016 Waste Management Phoenix Open.
“I definitely needed it. I was a little bit under the weather at Torrey Pines,” said Day about his experience in San Diego at the Farmer’s Insurance Open the week before Phoenix.
Day said his whole family caught a bug and got pretty sick.
“We needed the time to rest up and recover for this week,” he said.
But Day is feeling ready and very happy about playing under sunny, blue skies.
Temperatures were in the 70s and 80s and the skies were clear.
