The wine for Pebble Beach Food & Wine is arriving and Wednesday the team let us into one of the wine cellars to check out the stockpile.
Wine is a very important half of Pebble Beach Food & Wine and the cellar at The Inn at Spanish Bay as about 200 cases of rare wines and vintages, and it is one of two cellars, plus several loaded trucks.
“We have three refrigerated trucks onsite at the Grand Tasting Tent, one for each day, that is full for each day, and I think eight or 10 pallets on each truck, and then another truck for opening night,” said the festival’s wine director Lara Sailer Long.
All of the storage spaces are climate controlled and under lock and key.
