Carmel City Council votes to support school referendum
Should voters approve the $12 million tax levy, 40 teacher jobs could be saved. The city council’s move now encourages voters to pass the measure in next month’s primary. Community leaders say the city’s success has always depended on the schools. At a meeting Monday night in Carmel, members of the Carmel City Council voted to support a referendum on the May ballot.
