Fort Ord has a rich artistic history, evidenced by the many murals throughout the ruins of the base created by soldiers. Artist Enid Baxter Ryce creates an exhibition exploring the visual language of Fort Ord and those who live and work there today. Insignias of Fort Ord includes original works by members of the Veterans Transition Center; artworks by members of the CSUMB community; student films of Veteran oral histories and Professor Ryce’s original artwork. An interactive area invites Museum visitors to create and leave personal insignias that say something about their life, family, or community.

Special thanks to Margi and Bill Wiest and the Monterey Bay Officers’ Spouses Club for their support of this exhibition.
